Ys Chronicles 1 comes to Android, revives the classic JRPG on your terminal

Good players of a certain age we value the quality of the classic games, because without the graphics and the limitations of the time, we did enjoy as much or more than at present. In the genre of RPG we find great titles already mentioned as Dragon Quest III, the collection called ExaGear RPG and other retro diner style as Quest Crusaders.

For this today we add another, even better for some, because the company DotEmu brings a port of the classic Ys Chronicles, where we found running at its best in Android, launched back in 1987 and will refresh the memory of the fans of these titles.

Again we assume the role of Adol Christin, a young man who goes into the mysterious Esteria and will live adventures, challenging and fun struggles with a retro style that will appeal to audiences of all ages who want to revive this great RPG of Japanese origin.

Find new features, menus in HD while maintaining the classic look and achievements included for those who love challenges. In Google Play you can get a gem of the Golden Age and in the momentum of the game, where you play are available for both smartphones and tablet, at a price of 4.99 euros.

Soul Seeker, a free RPG more than entertaining

At Google Play we have a lot of RPG games, this being possibly one of the genres with most quality titles for Android.

One of the new games that could enter today on a imaginary list for best role-playing games is Soul Seeker, a new set of Com2uS launched on Google Play with a premise, frenetic action on all sides. In this -better Action RPG PgR-, you will manage a group of heroes with which we will explore dungeon after dungeon in search of treasure and enemies to defeat.

In battles in real time, we can control up to a total of 200 unique characters, each with different skills and characteristics. The only but is that we can only handle a single protagonist, the other merely "props" such as tanks, ranged attacks, among other roles being healers. Also we will have a crafting system with which we can create all the pieces of equipment that need thanks to the materials that we encounter during our excursions.

The graphics are quite achieved for a mobile game, the characters are very well designed even have their own voices in English or Korean language and the gameplay is quite fun, thanks to high doses of action and rapid and intense fighting. Unfortunately integrated shopping features are entirely optional, although the game can be downloaded for free.

In short, if you are looking for an Action RPG that will catch you for hours, Soul Seeker has all the ingredients to become one of the best games to play in your Android devices.

A role-playing game, sometimes also referred to by the RPG acronym is a video game genre that uses elements of traditional RPG (but the latter are not electronic games, you play them with dice, pencils and sheets of paper). The role-playing game and video game genre includes a broad variety of systems and styles of play. Some strongly associated with RPGs, such as statistical character development, elements have been widely adapted to other genres of games.

Evoland, history and nostalgia of RPGs

Shiro Games has launched a game that make us review the whole history of RPGs games. The idea is original and if we have played with classic adventure RPG games like Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy, we are going to enjoy this ones.

Evoland starts with 2D monochrome gameplay and it slowly evolves until the current full-3D open world graphics. When we start the game, we have a monochrome screen with 2D movements and the typical sound of the epoch. Playing with that blocky world we will feel like playing with the old Game Boy console.

We will find lots of chests, and by opening them, we will gradually transform the world. And not only the graphics are going to improve, but the gameplay and the players as well. The world changes from 8-bits to 16 bits and finally from 2D to 3D graphics, moving from pixelated screens to full-HD textures. Along with the visuals, we are going to unlock directional movement, combat skills and of course, the music is going to evolve quite a lot!

Every single one of those unlocked features will bring you memories of the classic games. Thus, the change from 2D movement to directional one follows a Zelda-style, while the turn based combats are similar to the Final Fantasy ones.

The good point, however, is that the game is fan in itself. Once you have unlocked the directional movements, you can move freely along the world, dodging all sort of deathly threats that come directly to you. And as any good adventure RPG game, there are quite a lot of monsters that you need to defeat in order to get items, experience or just to keep running alive.

If you have experience in those kind of games, the gameplay is really straightforward, and you can finish the game in a few hours. The only drawback is that in some parts, the depth of gameplay is added quite slowly. However, it is a really interesting and enjoyable game.

If you enjoyed Zelda and Final Fantasy, you can go wrong with Evoland. The game is ready to download for iOS and Android devices, for $4.99. There is also a PC version, that you can get from the developer's website for $9.99.
