The cult game Deus Ex Machina will be for Android remastered

The classic game Deus Ex Machina, originally released in 1984 and a saga that has survived to our times, will arrive on February 21 to iOS and Android for the 30th anniversary of the title. The game was the first interactive movie of the decade and was starring Jon Pertwee (Doctor Who) with Ian Dury and Frankie Howerd.

Deus Ex Machina is a title for the younger ones will not mean anything, but for those over thirty who has always had a passion for video games will evoke enthusiastic memories. It was the first attempt to put in a video game a narrative a bit 'deeper and more complex, almost as a movie.

This remastering will fully remastered soundtrack, new graphics adapted to the retina display of the latest phones and tablets and a director version with new extras. It will cost 5.99 euros and soon also come to Linux and PC on dates to be announced. Also on February 21 will appear its sequel, Deus Ex Machina 2 starring Christopher Lee, both PC and Mac, Android, iOS, Linux, Oculus Rift, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Finally, The Obsessive Possessive Ultimate Collection will arrive in March for the above platforms for 39.99 € and will allow to play the original Deus Ex Machina, original soundtrack, and high resolution, the continuation thereof and a Behind the Scenes.

From now you can relive the experience of the game on your mobile devices. Mel Croucher, creator of the game, managed to publish a revised version for iOS and Android (currently only through Amazon App-Shop, it is unclear if it will arrive on the Play Store, but probably). All technical aspects have been uploaded to today's technologies, although for the most nostalgic is also perfectly faithful to the original version, with 8-bit graphics.

But Android and iOS are only the first step for the rebirth of the brand. The goal is to reach other platforms - OUYA, Steam (Win / Mac / Linux) and Windows Phone. Then, following a successful campaign on Kickstarter, will be the turn of Deus Ex Machina 2, an all-new game starring the legend actor Christopher Lee.

PPSSPP 1.0, the Best PSP Emulator for Android

Sony has not been as successful as expected in their jumps to the handheld, dominated with an iron fist since the time of Nintendo Game Boy and only smartphones have achieved part of market. Precisely on mobile phones, and tablets, we can enjoy PPSSPP now, one of the best, or the best, PSP emulator for Android.

PPSSPP has since 2012 allowed emulate PlayStation Portable in Windows and other operating systems, the Android version has now reached version 1.0 after a season in beta. Although the PSP did not show all the potential it had, left a good number of titles that deserves to be played, as GTA Stories or Metal Gear: Portable Ops, you can now enjoy games on your phone or tablet. PPSSPP is free with ads but you can pay to remove them from your display too (Gold version is available in Play Store for €4.99).

PPSSPP also allows the ability to configure the keyboard or external command to your taste, scaling to HD screen. Remember that the PSP had a resolution of 480 × 272 píxels. Obviously, you hould bring the games in ISO or CSO format.

It goes without saying that there used to emulate the PS Vita and is only compatible with the first portable console from Sony, although as we said did not have the catalog that many expected seeing what the Japanese company had achieved their domestic and PlayStation has a good number of games worth trying. PSP haf an enviable catalog of the best portables around on the history. Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy. With so many great game, they just do not really need the catalog of Vita.

Finally, there are other alternatives, such as FPSE or ePSXe, although all consume the life of your battery in a few hours. Pitty that smartphones are seen as limited by their battery though. Emulation of 3D consoles in Android is complicated because of the GPU these devices usually have and drivers.

Luckily the PSP is a fairly easy platform to emulate and PPSSPP team have worked tirelessly to improve and optimize to get an excellent emulator on all platforms.

PPSSPP 1.0 requires Android 2.3 and higher versions.

New Android Version for Apple Beats Music

Undoubtedly smartphone users have a few music streaming services to choose from, apart from some of the most popular; Spotify, which is compatible with TV through Spoticast, or Rdio, which also features support for Chromecast.

However there are more options, one of them is Beats Music. Not so long ago Appel owned Beats Music, and seems to have plans for this service. Although so far nothing is confirmed, Apple could apparently have plans to redesign Beats Music, and it seems that it also affects to Android devices.

From the website of Android Authority recently alluded way to a rumor that 9to5Mac commented in regard to Android soon receive a new version of Beats Music, intriguing news. While this service had its app in the Google mobile operating system, the truth is that in principle everyone expected that after its purchase by Apple it was going to dissapear to focus on iOS especially. However it seems that Apple is betting for the opposite and trying to become a serious competitor to other music streaming services as mentioned above.

But having an app on both operating systems is not sufficient to cope with so much competition, security and so it would make sense what one second rumor says about Beats Music and its price. Specifically, what is said is that the streaming service owned by Apple would opt for a less than other fee. To be more exact they are speculating that it could cost around $5 per month, which could also make it a potentially attractive service for Android users.

Beats Music is an American music streaming service where you can listen music via a monthly or annual subscription DRM-protected. The service was officially launched on January 21, 2014 in the United States. Previously expanded the service in its development stage as the pseudonym Daisy.

Beats Music agreed in February 2014, with the Merlin Network for cooperation, so that the service now offered content from a variety of independent labels.

On May 28, 2014 Apple announced that it agreed with Beats Electronics to a takeover of the audio equipment manufacturer in the amount of 3 million US dollars.

Currently Beats Music is not available outside the US.

Evoland, history and nostalgia of RPGs

Shiro Games has launched a game that make us review the whole history of RPGs games. The idea is original and if we have played with classic adventure RPG games like Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy, we are going to enjoy this ones.

Evoland starts with 2D monochrome gameplay and it slowly evolves until the current full-3D open world graphics. When we start the game, we have a monochrome screen with 2D movements and the typical sound of the epoch. Playing with that blocky world we will feel like playing with the old Game Boy console.

We will find lots of chests, and by opening them, we will gradually transform the world. And not only the graphics are going to improve, but the gameplay and the players as well. The world changes from 8-bits to 16 bits and finally from 2D to 3D graphics, moving from pixelated screens to full-HD textures. Along with the visuals, we are going to unlock directional movement, combat skills and of course, the music is going to evolve quite a lot!

Every single one of those unlocked features will bring you memories of the classic games. Thus, the change from 2D movement to directional one follows a Zelda-style, while the turn based combats are similar to the Final Fantasy ones.

The good point, however, is that the game is fan in itself. Once you have unlocked the directional movements, you can move freely along the world, dodging all sort of deathly threats that come directly to you. And as any good adventure RPG game, there are quite a lot of monsters that you need to defeat in order to get items, experience or just to keep running alive.

If you have experience in those kind of games, the gameplay is really straightforward, and you can finish the game in a few hours. The only drawback is that in some parts, the depth of gameplay is added quite slowly. However, it is a really interesting and enjoyable game.

If you enjoyed Zelda and Final Fantasy, you can go wrong with Evoland. The game is ready to download for iOS and Android devices, for $4.99. There is also a PC version, that you can get from the developer's website for $9.99.

Game of Thrones - Episode 2: The Lost Lords

After the shocking endng of the first episode, Telltale continues to develop the trajectory of the Forrester House, fitting it carefully in the narrative of the beloved HBO series, in which we will return delivery to tread some of the most famous scenes of the literary universe George RR Martin.

Game of Thrones has become one of those series that must be seen, and due to its popularity, this famous game series has created a sequel to the point that smartphones and tablets received not long ago the first edition the official game of Game of Thrones, but is now also a cause for joy, because Telltale Games, the developer of this famous saga, has announced that the new episode of Game of Thrones will be on Android this Thursday.

The new episode of Game of Thrones -entitled "The Lost Lords"- is placed after the fourth season and recounts an adventure in exploring the intricacies of Forrester House and knowing better the characters that comprise them. This family is allied with the Starks of Winterfell, which are in control of the northern lands, to create a strong block and fight their enemies.

So the first episode served as presentation of these characters, introduction of context and starting of the plot. In the second episode, especially after seeing a real impact end, it is hoped that we see a development of events and a movement of the gears to move beyond the plot. But the reality is somewhat different than expected. In the best tradition of RR Martin himself, instead of seeing a clear development in the characters that connect in the first episode, we will experience what will be a second episode of presentation focused on other characters also from the Forrester House. Not that they have ignored previous, but its narrative development has been more limited than previously thought. Perhaps the fact that it is a game of six episodes, not the usual five contributed to this more laconic pace.

If you know the game you will know this already, but for those who do not know, the game consists of several episodes that will access from a single application. It consists of an adventure game in which we will have to make decisions that affect the course of our adventure. It is planned to have up to six episodes.

Prison Architect available for Android soon

Introversion, the studio that made Prison Architect has confirmed that its strategy title in which we build and manage a high-security prison, not only will be released throughout 2015 for PC, but will have presence in Android devices.

The game is currently in alpha stage and is available on Steam in Early Access format. The company recently announced that the title had passed the threshold of one million copies distributed, so it is understandable that other versions are already in mind.

The genre of strategy and management is usually something that curdles pretty well on mobile devices to be able to adapt well to the touch screen game, so it's no wonder we have seen so many titles that are committed to that ingredient in our Android. Examples could be Sim City Build, the futuristic 2020: My Country or with a prehistoric theme as The Tribez. This time is Prison Architect theindie game, which, as its name suggests, is based on the management of a prison, the one coming to Android.

This prison management game from the creators of Uplink born in 2012 for PC and has already sold a million copies still in alpha stage, coming out this year its final version. Its creators now want to make an adaptation of Prison Architect for Android and iOS, keeping as much as possible the spirit of the original, even when they expect to have to do some trimming for the title run smoothly on devices of low range, citing limit the number of inmates who may be in prison.

At the moment there is no release date announced, and also need to know if you enjoy it or not in smartphones, is that specifically say they are developing Prison Architect for iPad and Android, suggesting that perhaps only be a release for tablet PC. Whatever remains a good news to experiment with this simulator managing a maximum security prison and face the challenge of keeping everything in order, because it is a game that if it can be well adapted is likely to repeat the success from its original version.

Odd Bot Out: use building blocks, electricity, and physics to escape the robot factory

In the world of smartphones is everytime becoming easier to find good games around. In addition it should be noted that not only large companies with many resources manage to create good titles -take a look at Space Liner-. On the contrary, indie games often  offer pleasant surprises in stores, so we like to show some of them occasionally.

Odd Bot Out is an indie  attractive proposal. This is a title for Android developed by Martin Magni, which come fully into a mix of platform and puzzle where physics is very important. In Odd Bot Out the author puts us in the shoes of a detective robot that after failing an exam, must escape the factory, a simple argument but that leads to hours of entertainment on your Android devices.

That is due to their physical working system that will challenge you to play with blocks, switches, lifts, levers, rockets and even with the task of building strange artifacts, all along no less than 100 levels. There are two versions of Odd Bot Out, a complete version and a demo. In the demo you have 10 full levels and from there you can play the rest with in app purchases. The full version is a payment of 1.99 euros, price reasonable enough to enjoy their hundred levels.
