Snake will come back, this time on Android, May 14

Snake was born 18 years ago. In those times, smartphones were not available yet (perhaps only in a mind of a developer), and most of the mortals were owners of a Nokia device. They were robust, resistant and phones with a battery autonomy of a week.

Other than to call and send SMS, Nokia phones hooked the audience with a game that made them enjoy in front of a screen for hours, only because of a game. The most famous Candy Crush Saga or Angry Birds, are nothing compared with was Snake game was, our favorite game for years.

With the advent of smartphones, Android and Nokia ostracism, people were leaving their Nokia 3210 and 3310 phones becoming intelligent side with which they could surf the Internet, use the WhatsApp and enjoy other games with better graphics and storylines. Nokia was not the only forgotten, Snake too.

But though always remain in our memory those long bus rides playing this game, its creator, Taneli Armento, wants to get a current version for smartphones, and it will be helped by the developer Rumilus Design.

The new Snake, called Snake Rewind, will be available for Android, iOS and Windows Phone since May 14 and will not be just an upgraded version of the classic. It will include new graphics, more levels and different objectives for each screen. Of course, the game will include the most nostalgic classic Snake, too.
