Android M strengthens the validation checks of APKs

There are changes that are obvious and nothing changes on your phone or tablet, such as those affecting the interface, and others which are evident as you use the device, such as improvements in battery management, very importants. Still others go virtually unnoticed but indirectly affect, as the latter has been discovered in the Android M preview strengthens the monitoring of APKs.

With the arrival of the new version of Android, the APKs climbing on Google Play will be checked to ensure that files containing match what declared in the manifest to ensure that none are missing, something that happens now with Lollipop. If this test is failed, a new manifesto will be required, which means a new signature for the APK.

This way Google can control better if someone alters the APK files so that users may expose security or privacy.

This Google bet on strengthening control over what can go inside in your digital shopping is great news, because until now their attitude in this regard left much to be desired, as sometimes has been unable to find malware on Google Play, and it took years in curbing false applications masquerading as others to achieve success and throw downloads ads, plus the ease and impunity with which some pirates climbed Play Books stranger to content to earn money off the work of others.

Perhaps it goes too slowly, but the Mountain View are improving in this respect. Hopefully this will be only the first step and that soon we will see a much safer Play Store free of piracy than it is now certainly the most improved aspect of the Android environment.
