Square Enix confirmed a Final Fantasy VII remake for smartphones

It has been one of the most commented news during the week. There will a rework for one of the best RPGs of all time. Considered by many as the masterpiece of Square Enix (even though some of us think it of the Final Fantasy VI), the company revealed a trailer for the remake to come of Final Fantasy VII, confirming what we all wanted, a remake of the adventures of Cloud and company.

But the story does not end here, because you will have to save Midgar again from the clutches of the tyrannical Shinra with art graphics, also have the possibility to fulfill this goal in our smartphones. This was confirmed by Android Authority in words of Shinji Hashimoto of Square Enix. The seventh installment of Final Fantasy will have Android version, but this time it will be a port of the original of 1997.

We will be Cloud again, and he is member of Avalanche, a group that is responsible for make things difficult to Shinra, a multinational that is slowly killing the planet. The story is much more complex than meets the eye and keep us trapped for many hours.

Regarding the news, it is worth noting some details. While it is possible to play Final Fantasy VII in our smartphones through an emulator, it never hurts companies like Square Enix bet on Android. On the other hand, it is necessary that the title holder stored in the cloud, since many hours of playing could be lost for any undesirable reason. Finally, knowing the Japanese company and the hype generated by everything related to Final Fantasy VII, we expect a price of around 15 dollars, a price that will worth it once tested on your mobile phone.

But not all are good news. Square Enix said that Final Fantasy VII will hit the phones this summer, although so far only to iOS. Android users will have to wait a little longer. Hopefully the wait worthwhile and that this is the beginning of the arrival of many other games like Final Fantasy VIII and IX or the incredible Xenogears.
